STAINED GLASS LIGHTS

With the approach the new Millennium there was much discussion amongst the members as to an appropriate way to mark this significant date.   A  decision was taken to install stained glass lights  in two tall vertical windows in the west wall of the church facing the seats for the congregation. The design by church member and current steward John Willis is a delightful blend of Christian symbols and references to the locality such as the Roman Wall and the waters of Denton Burn.  The stained glass was created by students at Sunderland University.
